Greg's Guide to Being a Player
The Player Knows Movies
Movies are a valuable reference to all new players, because they are
not only entertaining... but can be very educational if you know which
to watch. Just about everyone sits down and watches a movie every once
in a while, so while your at it why not learn a few things that will
help you pick up more women? It's a no-brainer.
Watching the right movies can actually be one of the best ways to learn
how to deal with women because you can see and hear the way that the
actors portraying these master seducers engage with the women that they
are picking up. In many cases, this visual way of learning is the best
for some people... and seeing it in action may actually help you learn
how to properly use the stuff that your learning here.
Below I've put together a list of my favorite movies that are related to
dealing with women, all of which can teach you a ton of useful tips.
I've included links to purchase them online at discounted prices... so
if you can't find them at your local video store you can always buy them
here for less. Enjoy!
How To Be A Player
The funny story of a womanizer and how his own sister plots to end his
cheating ways. A cool ride, a kickin' crib, a bomb job, and all the sexy
women he can handle--what else can a guy ask for?
What Women Want
It must've made for a great pitch meeting: Male chauvinist advertising
executive gains the ability to hear the thoughts of any woman around
him. Add Mel Gibson--as Nick, the divorced "man's man" who can charm
almost any woman into bed--and you've got high-concept comedy made in
Hollywood heaven, right? Not necessarily. The smartest thing director
Nancy Meyers did with What Women Want is dispose of this ludicrous plot
contrivance before it wears out its welcome.
Don Juan DeMarco
It's a quirky romantic comedy about a mental patient (Johnny Depp) who
claims to be Don Juan, the world's greatest lover, and he gets quite a
few women to believe it's true. Brando plays the psychiatrist who tries
to analyze his patient's apparent delusion, and Dunaway plays Brando's
wife, who wants to inject some Don Juan-ish romance into their marital
routine. Walking a fine line between precious comedy, wistful drama, and
delicate fantasy, the movie gets a big dose of charm from its esteemed
cast, with Depp delivering dialogue that would have sounded ludicrous
from a lesser actor.
Roger Dodger
Campbell Scott bristles, burns, and sneers as Roger, a would-be smoothie
who gets jilted by his older lover (who also happens to be his boss at
an advertising agency). When his teenage nephew Nick (Jesse Eisenberg)
appears at his office the next day, hoping for lessons in how to deal
with the ladies, Roger uses his nephew partly as a foil, partly as a
prop as he vents his anger and unhappiness on women in a scathing tour
of bars and parties.
Alfie
For Alfie (JUDE LAW), life was about enjoying everything woman could
offer- one night at a time. From Wealthy widows with a taste for younger
man (SUSAN SARANDON)ito his single-mom girlfriend (MARISA TOMEI), Alfie
had it all... and wasn't looking for anything more. But when the
consequences of his playboy lifestyle suddenly affect the women in his
life and his best friend (OMAR EPPS), Alfie beginsito wonder if there
isimoreito life that these fleeting romances. And if so, what's it all
about?
Hitch
Hitch (Will Smith) is Alex Hitchens, a professional romance consultant
or Date Doctor. If you're a lonely, single man in New York City, he's
the guy you want to call. Hitch believes that, under the right
circumstances, any man can win the heart of any woman. Arranging those
circumstances and making sure they're exactly right is where he comes
in. Say you're a clumsy, overweight business executive like Albert
Brenneman (Kevin James) and you're hopelessly in love with the beautiful
heiress you work for (Amber Valletta), Hitch will make your dreams come
true. He'll teach you how to make a strong first impression and he'll
coach you through the first date, the first dance and the first kiss.
